There are a few places I never thought I would photograph dance and Eton College, a school that produced the likes of David Cameron and Prince William (to name a few), was definitely one of them. Eton is a world famous college for producing prime ministers and fine tuning royalty, so when I was told I was going to be photographing a dance production there I could not quite believe it. It is quite a remarkable venue as you will see in the photographs and I absolutely loved every minute of photographing there.
The 1st May saw me travel into London to photograph the London Russian Ballet School in their latest dance production, which was a real visual masterpiece. The day started in Clapham taking photographs of the students in class building up to their performance and then documenting them travelling to Windsor for their evening performance at Eton College. Once we had arrived at Eton I was to photograph the technical rehearsal as well as the evening show. All in all it was a 20 hour day for me (with travel) and an absolute killer, but a day that I will never forget. The setting of the stage and the way Liam Begley of Henley Theatre Services lit the show, was quite incredible making my job, well, pretty easy!! The dancers were incredible, quite possibly the best I have seen them and so them, coupled with the setting, made for some really stunning photography.
All in all it was an amazing day and the images below are just a small collection of what I was able to achieve. If you are looking for a dance and theatre photographer for your new production please take time to look at my website or if you would like to know my availability please contact me.
