When I first met Vicky and Mick it was at a wedding fayre in Fareham some 12 months ago. Apparently, according to Mick, as soon as they saw my photography Vicky wanted to book me but waited until they got home to decide. Within 30 minutes of being home they had contacted me to organise a consultation to talk through exactly what they wanted in their bespoke package.
Fast forward 12 months and to be present at their wedding was truly magical. It was a traditional English wedding at two gorgeous Hampshire wedding venues. St. Mary’s church inside Portchester Castle (also where Vicky mum and dad were married in 1984!!) and Cams Hall Golf Club in Fareham were the two settings and they were sublime. Special praise must go to St. Mary’s Church for the freedom I had to get the photographs Vicky and Mick so desperately wanted, this rarely happens in churches and myself, Vicky and Mick are all very grateful.
The light for Vicky and Mick’s time alone in the evening was just perfect, a soft golden yellow, which really makes the photographs so much more romantic. ‘Time alone’ is something that I always like to do with my couples as it gives you time together to reflect on one of the biggest moments of your life that has just happened and spend a little time alone with each other away from all of your guests. I usually allow 20-30 minutes for this and it depends on the time of year when the best time would be to do it.
I get to photograph weddings in all areas of the country from Hampshire, Surrey and Yorkshire to Italy and Mexico. I love working with new clients and watching the reaction of current ones when they see the photographs I have produced, reliving every moment of their wedding day as the slideshow of photographs rolls on in front of them.
My wedding photography is very natural, telling the story of your wedding day as it unfolds. If you are an engaged couple and are looking for a wedding photographer for your special day, please take a look at my website gallery for samples of my work and the photography packages that I offer. Alternatively you can get in touch to check on my availability, it would be lovely to hear from you.
I hope you enjoy the photographs below of the magical day that Vicky and Mick shared.
