Sami and James – what can I say?? Two of the most wonderful people you will ever meet and their wedding has to be up there as one of the most fun, lively and entertaining weddings that I have ever photographed. Their Rhinefield House outdoor ceremony was full of amazing moments that created a collection I am extremely proud of and I know the couple love. The wedding was also featured in Your Hampshire and Dorset wedding magazine which for me was the second feature I have had with them after Emma and Martin’s Spitbank Fort wedding in 2015. If two people are ever meant to be together then Sami & James are them. Their humour just bounces off one another and they really do have a certain joie de vivre.
My coverage started in the Walker Suite at Rhienfield House to capture some photographs of the Bridal preparations before going to meet the Groomsmen and capture the guests arriving. James was like a little 5 year old boy at Christmas, so excited for the events of the day to occur and I found this extremely refreshing as quite often in the morning of a wedding day the atmosphere can be quite nervous. James was far from it as he greeted his and Sami’s arriving guests.
I whizzed back upstairs to capture some last photographs of Sami getting ready with her Bridesmaids before heading down to the Forest Garden at Rhinefield House. I captured a few photographs of the guests mingling and the Groomsmen having a wonderful time teasing each other and before long Sami appeared looking radiant in her gorgeous wedding dress walking arm in arm with her very proud father.
The outdoor ceremony area at Rhinefield House is the perfect backdrop for any photograph and really complimented the amazing moments taking place between the extremely happy couple. One of my favourite images from the wedding materialised as the couple were about to walk up the aisle. They turned to each other and simply beamed – the new Mr and Mrs Hardwick in all their element.
There was a buzzing atmosphere throughout the reception drinks as the couple mingled with their guests and gave me an abundance of great fleeting moments to photograph. The speeches soon followed after a short break as the couple had their wedding breakfast and produced some amazing moments helped along by the Groom’s two uncles and Toby Oakley from Your DJ who was Sami and James’ host host for the day.
As the sun set I quickly whisked the couple out into the grounds for some sunset photographs and then we headed back onto the dance floor for their first dance.
To summarise this wedding is extremely difficult as I don’t think there are enough superlatives to do justice to this wonderful couple and the day they shared with their guests. All I can say is that it has been an honour to work for them and I think it is best to let the incredible photographs summarise the day for me. Grab a cuppa cause you are in for one very entertaining viewing. Enjoy.
