On July 29th I met up with one of my wedding couples, Vicky and Mick, to take some natural, romantic engagement photos showing the love between them. The setting for the photo shoot was Portchester Castle in Hampshire and it was the perfect setting with rolling hills and a gorgeous CofE church as a backdrop and of course the stunning Castle ruins themselves. When I first met Vicky and Mick it was at a wedding fair in Fareham Hampshire and we clicked straight away. I have loved working with them and hearing all about the wedding that they are dreaming of, as I do with all of my couples, and they have loved the photographs that I have produced so far and for me that is the most important thing, it’s what they are employing me for. Their wedding will be split between two venues, Portchaster Castle and Cams Hall Golf Club, and I have some lovely ideas for both venues. Portchester Castle is a very traditional venue with a gorgeous little church set within the grounds and Cams Hall is much more modern but with gorgeous long rough patches out on the golf course, something that I hope to take full advantage of on their wedding day.
Engagement photo shoots are the perfect way to celebrate such a special time in a couples life. A time that can pass by so quickly as the planning of the wedding day takes over. All of the wedding packages that I offer include a complimentary engagement shoot as I feel it is important to remember this special time and have photographs that represent the love between you as a couple. I also include a framed 7×5″ picture to remember the occasion as so often photographs can sit on your computer that should really be shown off. Primarily I photograph in Hampshire and Surrey however I do photograph weddings across the UK and internationally too.
