The Elvetham Summer Wedding
A Fun Summer wedding at The Elvetham
“These are PHENOMENAL! Jess and I just got back from dinner on Honeymoon and we’re sitting on our hotel balcony going through them. No surprises that I’m in tears again!! we opened the first one and the sight of Jess’ dad set us off straight away. I wanted to thank you so much for everything. Not just for the amazing photographs, but you also gave us such a sense of confidence and calm both leading up to the day and on the day itself, which we really needed given the concerns about the weather.”
Here are a few sneak peek photographs of Jess and James’ fun Elvetham Summer wedding which took place back in August. The couple enjoyed one of the most action packed weddings I have been a part of with singers and fireworks to add to the normal wedding day structure.
Both Jess & James are Newcastle Fans and so me being their wedding photographer, and a HUGE Toon Army fan, was the perfect fit. Their venue – The Elvetham – is a breathtaking Manor House set in the small village of Hartley Wintney. I have now photographed there on many occasions and it is definitely one of my favourite venues to work at.
Jess & James wanted a very relaxed day with lots of ‘fleeting moment’ photographs capturing the story of the wedding. This is a trademark of my photographic style and what attracted the couple to my work. They also wanted some killer portraits of the two of them together and with these two it was so easy. Great light for portraits is so important and for this wedding we were blessed with a beautiful golden hour. This enabled me to get some remarkable photographs of the two of them together.
As a surprise after the wedding breakfast the couple treated their guests to a singing set from their friends. Now when the couple told me that this was going to happen, I thought ok, what a lovely idea. I had no idea though just how good these two would be. They absolutely had the place rocking and by the end, all guests were on their feet singing along. The surprises weren’t finished there though as the couple finished off the day with a spectacular fireworks display too.
