Producing West Dean wedding photography for Katy and Jak’s special day was wonderful. Gorgeous weather, a stunning setting and two people so clearly in love.
Katy and Jak, what can I say about these wonderful people. I have had the pleasure to get to know them in the build up to their wedding and I have to say they are two of the most loveliest people I have ever met. They are always smiling and look on the bright side of whatever is thrown at them. I can honestly say their wedding was one of the most fun weddings I have been a part of and so beautifully put together.
The couple wanted to incorporate a chicken theme to their wedding which is a little different to what most couples opt for but was perfect for them – They have two chicken’s themselves and they make a starring appearance in the photographs below. The day ran so beautifully with the Bridal preparations producing some wonderfully funny moments and a teary-eyed dad clearly so proud of Katy. The ceremony was set at the beautiful St Mary’s Church within the grounds at Portchester Castle. A quite remarkable setting for such a special occasion and one that I have had the pleasure to photograph at a few times before. This part of the day was more emotional than most as 40 years previous Katy’s mum and dad stood in the very same spot to tie the knot.
After a great confetti line we had a few photographs by the sea front before heading over to West Dean College for the couples wedding reception. A stunning setting with rolling hills surrounding this beautiful manor. The guests had a wonderful time socialising and playing lawn games with such a relaxed atmosphere to what can sometimes be a very stressful day. The speeches were excellent and produced some really touching moments and the live band in the evening produced some wonderful music as the couple and their guests danced the night away.
Katy and Jack… Congratulations on becoming the new Mr & Mrs Fryer!! You are two awesome people who I feel very lucky to have had as clients. I have thoroughly loved working with you both and your wedding was so much fun to be a part of.
The slideshow and photographs below show the wonderful day Katy and Jak shared with their guests. Enjoy.
