Laura and Dean’s Manor by the Lake wedding was sublimely beautiful and such a gorgeous story to tell. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this wedding and having worked at the venue previously in 2015 for Chi and Yijing’s wedding I knew that this beautiful setting would produce the perfect backdrop for the couples wedding photographs.
My day started with the bridal preparations at the Mother of the Bride’s house and there was such a buzz when I entered with Laura beaming from ear to ear. The highlight of the morning had to be the arrival of a special gift from the Groom. A lovely bunch of roses for his Bride to be, such a wonderful gesture from a real gentleman.
Soon after arriving at the church it was time for the arrival of Laura and her bridal party. Laura arm in arm with her mum walking down the aisle in her stunning Justin Alexander wedding dress was a particularly emotional moment. The ceremony was lovely with all of the most important people to Laura and Dean watching on as the couple said their vows.
After the ceremony we did a quick confetti shot and then all made the long 45 minute journey to the reception venue. On the journey I started to think about how incredible Manor by the Lake as a wedding venue really is. It combines classic elegance with modern comforts and is an exceptionally stylish and picture-perfect venue for weddings. The Manor is an exclusive use venue featuring intricately carved oak panels, marble fireplaces and ornately painted ceilings. Manor By The Lake, or Arle Court as it was originally named, dates back over 150 years. The name of the architect Thomas Penson of Chester, and the date 1857, appears on one of the stone shields located on the tower along with the names of Thomas Packer Walter Butt and his wife, Eliza Lutener Butt and their respective Coats of Arms. What a wonderful part of the history to still be at the venue.
The reception drinks seemed to simply fly by and as I walked with the couple during their wedding photographs I could tell that they simply couldn’t believe how fast the day was flying by.
The setting in the Ballroom is quite spectacular and this couple decorated it perfectly with pink uplighter and large centre pieces to really encapsulate the grandeur of the venue. During the speeches all of the guests clung to every word with some guests clearly recollecting the stories being told.
The couples first dance soon followed and my last task of the day was to get some killer nighttime photos for the couple around the grounds. This was one of the aspects that Laura in particular was very keen for me to do as it was one of things that she loved about my portfolio. Using the venues lake and the wonderful reflection it produces I was able to get some lovely photographs with the dynamic sky really helping to create a wow factor set of photographs.
Thank you so much to Laura and Dean for allowing to document your story and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for the two of you.
